Artifacts, photos, descriptions of projects, work logs, etc.

Description – I began to create the template that I will be using to construct my brand guide. I will be using Canva – a personal favorite platform when it comes to creating work such as this.

Description – I got the log-in information for the rental software that we use – Ciirus. I did some exploring on the site, and started getting myself accustomed to how this specific software works. As shown in the orange text-box, I submitted my request with things that we wanted to update on the site (as described in my audio journal).

Description – this isn’t the main thing this week, but I wanted to include it. I made a project tracker for myself so I could keep up with all of my tasks, and track the progress of each project. This also shows a project description of each project.

This is the main thing that has been going on for the past two weeks. After a few meetings and email exchanges, I was able to get a “staging” site for the WordPress website. After a meeting I had last Wednesday, we decided that we needed a duplicate site of the main active site so that I could play around with bigger changes, without directly effective the active website yet. Today (Tuesday 2/18) this happened, so by the next time I post one of these, I’ll have some website updates to show.

I wanted to document some of the research that I have been doing in terms of the brand guide I am creating. This site https://www.canva.com/learn/your-brand-needs-a-visual-style-guide/ has been my go-to for doing research for what I should be incorporating in my brand guide. I also like that it is published by Canva, because that is the platform I am using to build my brand guide. I have taken some of my own notes based off of this, and have been chipping away at the brand guide week by week. I haven’t had the most time to work on this, due to my hands being tied up in many other things, but I have been doing a lot of research for when I fully start putting it together.

This is the first page I have of the brand guide. I reworked their mission statement on their website just a tad to change up the language a bit, which is something that my supervisor wanted. I also took the HEX codes for the colors straight from the logo so they could have the exact colors to refer to when needed. As shown, I have the fonts that we are using on the website now, but I am thinking that this may change. I am having fun with this!

Yesterday during my internship I was tasked with creating and posting the job descriptions for two new positions we have opening this summer. Only one is shown in the screenshot – but I posted two on our website, Recreation Coordinator and Assistant Recreation Coordinator. I also posted a short blurb announcing these job openings on our Facebook Page.

I have continued my work on the Ocean Park Brand Guide. One of the sections I worked on this week was the logos and I started with the design elements section. I am not yet finished with this section, but I wanted to still include what I have so far. This has been really fun to work on.
